antiracist practice for white people

Energy in the body moving up and forward. Aching sensation in chest. Restless urge to reach out for comfort like a baby wanting to be picked up and soothed.

“It’s like a lack of being able to self sooth. It’s like, ‘Soothe me because I don’t know how to soothe how badly I feel about the state of our world and our country and our interactions racially. And because of that, I’m looking for you to make it feel better.’

I’m doing this for me. ‘This is not about you. This is about me feeling better about myself.’”
